Why import from Hudson

Origin pricing, island logistics

The Caribbean and Central America are our primary markets outside the United States. Restaurants, hotels, bakeries, supermarkets and foodservice distributors across the islands pay some of the highest cooking oil prices in the hemisphere — largely because of how many hands the oil passes through on the way. We sell you the container instead.

Competitive pricing, FOB or CIF

We quote per case FOB Port Everglades, Miami, Jacksonville or Houston, or landed CIF to your port. Buying at origin from US crushers and mills means importers skip the regional middleman margin.

Full container or shared load

A 40 ft container takes 1,200 cases — 42,000 lb of oil. Smaller importers, hotels and restaurant groups can take a 20 ft load or share a consolidated container out of South Florida.

Export paperwork handled

Commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin, health and phytosanitary certificates where required, FDA registration details, certificate of analysis and kosher certification.

Built for tropical distribution

The 35 lb bag-in-box is stackable and shelf-stable for 12 months. Corrugate travels better than molded jugs in a hot container, and the sealed liner protects the oil through humidity and transshipment.

What ships

Five commercial grade oils, one export format

Every oil in the range ships in the same 35 lb bulk bag-in-box, so a container can carry any mix of the five without changing your pallet configuration or your customs paperwork.

How an export order runs

Inquiry to container in four steps

Most first-time importers go from inquiry to a loaded container inside three weeks.

01

Send the inquiry

Tell us the destination port, the oils, the annual volume and whether you want FOB or CIF. Include your import license or tax ID if you already hold one.

02

We quote

A landed price per case with freight, a validity window of 30 to 90 days, and the document set your customs authority will require. Back inside two business days.

03

Confirm and we load

Deposit against the proforma invoice, we build the pallets to your oil mix and book the sailing from the nearest US port.

04

Repeat on a standing cycle

Most importers settle into a monthly or six-weekly container. We hold your pallet configuration on file so each reorder is a single email.

Export questions

What importers ask us first

Anything not covered here, send it through the quote form and our export team will answer it directly.

The Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Haiti, Puerto Rico, the Bahamas, Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados, Aruba, Curaçao, Bonaire, Saint Lucia, Grenada, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Dominica, Antigua and Barbuda, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Anguilla, Montserrat, Sint Maarten, the Cayman Islands, the Turks and Caicos Islands, the British and US Virgin Islands, Bermuda, Guadeloupe and Martinique — plus Panama, Belize, Costa Rica, Honduras, Guatemala, Colombia, Guyana and Suriname on the mainland Caribbean basin. If your port is not listed, ask: if a container line calls there, we can quote it.

Because you are buying at origin. We purchase from US crushers and refiners, pack a single high-volume format, and sell you the container FOB or CIF with the freight shown as a line item rather than buried in a margin. On a 40 ft load of 1,200 cases the saving against regional wholesale can be large enough to fund your own distribution margin.

Both. FOB Port Everglades, Miami, Jacksonville or Houston if you have your own freight forwarder and rates. CIF to your destination port if you would rather we book the sailing and insure the cargo. We quote both on the same sheet so you can compare.

One pallet — 60 cases — on a consolidated LCL load out of South Florida. Full container pricing starts at a 20 ft container of 600 cases, and the best landed cost per case is a 40 ft container of 1,200 cases.

Commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin, certificate of analysis per lot, health and free-sale certificate, phytosanitary certificate where required, FDA facility registration details, kosher certification and a shelf-life statement. Tell us the destination and we prepare the set your customs broker actually needs.

Yes. Private-label 35 lb cases are available from a 40 ft container per SKU. You supply artwork to our dieline and we print the corrugate — useful for importers building their own foodservice brand across several islands.

Better than rigid plastic. Shelf life is 12 months unopened, the liner is sealed against humidity and oxygen, and corrugate stacks without the panel deformation you get from molded jugs sitting in a hot container or an un-air-conditioned warehouse. Store below 75°F / 24°C out of direct sun and the oil holds its specification.

The first container is against a proforma invoice, typically a deposit with the balance on presentation of documents. Established accounts with a payment history can move to letter of credit or open terms, which we set case by case.
