How bulk oil is delivered

Bulk edible oil ships in three common formats. A food-grade tank truck carries liquid oil directly into on-site storage, typically about 5,000–6,500 gallons per load. IBC totes, typically 275 or 330 gallons each, suit plants without bulk tanks. 55-gallon drums on pallets suit smaller lines or multiple locations.

The right format depends on storage capacity, receiving equipment, and how fast you use oil. Minimums and lead times depend on product, format, and delivery location.
